effect it is.Started with Tunisia and now planned until Morocco.Egypt is on a breeze now.Bahrain plans it for tomorrow.As an expat we couldn’t do nothing but keeping fingers crossed and following the protest group in twitter which updates on protests.
I could not comment more on the protest as we dont hold much of a share here,funny thing is population stats here,expats being majority.There is a Facebook group and lot of twitter forums which discuss so much about it.Pls read more about it here and here.
So waiting for how day(s) would turn out tomorrow and further.

Yeah it can be a very uncomfortable feeling. But I think Bahrain is “safe”. Some demonstrations, yes, but maybe not to the extent of Egypt and Tunisia. Take care and be careful though.
