February 2011

It was a dull evening when amma retires tiredly, and Ambuli starts her usual nagging.

Amma says( she is tired),” ammakku tired.ah irukku da”.(Assuming she would pass some time on her own and leave me peacefully)

Ambuli replies “Ambuli.kkum tired.ah irukku”.

Amma *&##!?

If anyone out there who wish to hear Kaangeya Nardhanam story?

Then you should get in touch with DD for the same, since verdict is given by HRH Princess Ambuli.Well,as a bedtime routine she hears stories from both of us alternatively as she pleases. Its always that DD tells Krishna stories to her and i stick on to general stories. So the kaalinga nardhanam is refered to as kaangeya nardhanam in her own terms.

One day she was rolling up in the bed and announced,” Appa.kku Kitta kadhai theiryum, amma.kku paanai kadhai theriyum”.(Appa knows Krishna stories and amma knows the story of pot).We both were shocked to hear the verdict by her, sometimes i do tell her krishna stories and DD tells the general stuff. Her current favorites are Kaangeyan from krishna tales and story of pot.

Sweeps in.After 4 hectic days,a slight breeze blows.Trade unions and teachers have called for strike, yet most of the offices show full attendance. We both are working today and Ambuli is in School.

Transport as usual and tension only in Pearl roundabout.Hope everything settles pretty quick.Thank god.

Anniversary for us to celebrate togetherness. We did had a celebration plan in mind, but could not set a foot outside the building considering the situation here,in fact no mood to celebrate at all.

With tensions rising on both the ends, media telling us only one side stories, too tired to make a decision and mind goes numb for situations which are really not in our control.

And DD says he will buy ticket for two of us if situation continue to worse further. How come he could say that? No, we would leave as a family or face anything worse as a family,am not going to move out of this country without him.

A Friday Fun turned out as Friday Fury.

They are not sure of what they want.May be opposition party motivated them for some benefit.Atlast it is the common man, like you and me who shed their blood for meaningless motion.

If they want democracy they better understand their position is better than many other democratic countries including India. If they want more than BD.1000 which was determined to be given, they could have spelled it out rightly. If it is that PM should step down they could have handled it clearly.Whatever they have been misguided for a protest and from the autocratic government, there was only violence. They decided violence could answer these outlaws.

All these are avalanche effect which badly affects the economy across globe and now the oil price is sky rocketing to 104 Dollars.Everyone needs a peaceful end to all this traumatic drama.May god bless.

P.S: Am so much at awe for the early morning stuff today, since many pics of today tears the heart apart, just i realised that there are rajapakses everywhere.Again my sincere prayers for peace.

a value for a human being. They may be wrong in their way of protesting, but two being dead now,is appalling.

My words would not make justice to what i feel, still i intend to write about it.

We all love safety,we would not love to risk.Media claims it was rubber bullets which had taken a soul away and the other one in the gathering in hospital to get the body.Having lost two lives, agitated fellow citizens  lined up for protest.I salute them all.

King had ordered for an investigation and assured justice.Hope that brings in peace and rest us all, alhamdulillah. There is an unrest throughout MENA,following Egypt.

May those two souls RIP.

Nothing much significant, though there was a rise.Read more about it here .

The twitter updates were scary, but proved out to be much ado about nothing. The day began as usual,i had not wished to send her to school and she missed her first valentine party @ school :-).

We both been to office, and Bab-al-bahrain in central Manama has been blocked and polices around souq, since that was the main area for demonstration.Shops, hotels were all in business, but the crowd was very less and traffic was at ease in afternoon, could be because of schools announcing a holiday.

There was a car procession close to my home for celebrating 10th anniversary of the constitution and there were i love Bahrain slogans. But soon DD called me saying that there were protests all around and he would be home soon.

He did came early without much of a fuss and we did went out in the evening for a doctor appointment and streets were deserted like anything such as it would at 2 AM.Considering today as a holiday,it was a plain reflection of fear about protests, most of the business were running in low volume and surprise what,we got a parking at Saravana Bhavan doorstep and there were only two individuals inside it.

And today when we passed along the highway we could see police patrolling in cars and some helicopters.Assumingly bahrain is safe,we enjoy the moment here, for that this place is a home away from home for me.

Edited to Add: A comrade was dead in the protest yesterday and that fanned the flames of protest and the unrest begins.More update here.
